3.2.2 Gateway nodes

Gateway Nodes are special nodes that handle the connection between the MeleeHub platform and the traditional Internet. These nodes provide access to content and services on the decentralized Internet for traditional Internet users. Gateway Nodes perform the following functions:

1. Traffic bridging: Gateway Nodes appropriately route traffic between the MeleeHub platform and the traditional Internet, enabling traditional Internet users to access content and services on the decentralized Internet.

2. Protocol conversion: Gateway Nodes convert communication between the protocols used by the MeleeHub platform and those used by the traditional Internet, ensuring compatibility between different networks.

3. Caching and content delivery: Gateway Nodes cache content on the decentralized Internet and deliver it efficiently to traditional Internet users, improving performance on the decentralized Internet.

Gateway Nodes can also receive rewards using the MELEE token based on their role's importance and allocation of tokens, ensuring the interconnectivity between the decentralized Internet and the traditional Internet is maintained.
